The celebration took place in front of the European Center for Language Studies – Miranta Merkouri on December 23, 1998. The student choir sang the carols in English, followed by a dance sketch in English (Christmas rap) and then the students and teachers danced to the vibrant rhythms of modern Greek and foreign dance music.
The play took place on December 20, 1998 in the European Center for Languages Studies – Miranta Merkouri show-room by the students of the A’ kindergarden (5-year olds) and the B’ kindergarden (7-year old classes). The parents enjoyed the little heroes, for their theatrical capabilities and their linguistic competencies in English in such a short time-span.
The European Center for Language Studies – Miranta Merkouri is an achievement inspired by Miranta Merkouri, who after lengthy studies and a professional career, domestically and abroad, returns dynamically in 1991 to the place of her descent, Pirgos of the Ilia prefecture, to fulfill her goals: to offer her knowledge and extensive experience in the field of foreign language education.
