The European Centre of Language Studies Miranta Merkouri, hosted a surprise Carnival party for its young Preliminary to B class students. The event took place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 February on our school’s premises.
The surprise party included fun activities organized by Giota the clown. There was music, games, dance as well as presents that all our students, costumed and not, really enjoyed.

On Sunday March 9, 2014, the Eleia branch of PALSO awarded prizes to the students who scored full marks during the May 2013 L.A.A.S. exams, the December 2012 EDEXCEL/PTE exams and the May 2013 EDEXCEL/PTE exams at the Convention centre of the District of Eleia. A raffle with prizes followed.

On Saturday 19 October, 2013 the standard meeting with the parents of new students took place at the European Center for Language Studies-Miranta Merkouri.
The variety of classroom activities applied in association with the theory of multiple intelligences was presented by Mr Mike Pozantzis, and Ms Adamantia Zafeiropoulou talked about the most suitable age to start a second and a third foreign language.
What is more, Mr Alexandros Oikonomidis focused on the teaching of German, and analysed the way the oral exam is conducted for Levels Β1, Β2, C1 and C2. Then he emphasized the Medical Terminology lessons which are aimed at medical professionals who wish to continue their studies in German-speaking countries, a series of lessons that has been conducted successfully since last year.
Finally, the parents were given the opportunity to see how the lessons are conducted on the Interactive Boards adopted by the European Centre of Language Studies-Miranta Merkouri since 2007 and on computers since 1991. Mmes Dimitra Roussou, Evi Angelopoulou, Mary Tzouvelakou, Adamantia Zafeiropoulou and Mr Mike Pozantzis analysed the lesson of English on the Interactive Whiteboard in their classroom each, for levels Preliminary, A΄, Β΄, C΄ and D΄ Regular and Proficiency respectively.
As for German, Ms Christina Charda and Mr Alexandros Oikonomidis presented the relevant software in their classrooms as well.

The evening ended with a buffet of finger food, sweets and refreshments offered to both the parents and the staff.

On Wednesday January 29, 2014, the Director Mrs Miranta Merkouri cut the cake for the staff in her office at school and wished good luck to all.
