New Year Cake 19/01/2016

The Director Mrs Miranta Merkouri cut on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 the cake for the staff in her office at school and wished good luck to all.

PALSO DAY 30/01/2016

On Saturday, January 30, 2016, the PALSO branch of Ileia awarded prizes to the students who scored full marks during the May 2015 L.A.A.S. exams, the May 2015 EDEXCEL/PTE exams and the December 2014 EDEXCEL/PTE and NOCN exams at the Convention Center of the District of Ileia.

Shower party 02/02/2016

The Director Ms Miranta Merkouri and the staff of the European Centre of Language Studies organized on Tuesday February 2nd a surprise shower party for the secretary of the school Ms Anna Antonopoulou to wish her good luck since she is going on maternity leave

Parents-Teachers Meeting 17/10/2015

The teaching methods of the European Centre of Language Studies were presented to the parents of our new students again this year, by the Director of the school Mrs. Miranta Merkouri and the teaching staff.

On Saturday 17th October 2015 at the premises of the school, our teacher, Ms. Anna Gintziri, welcomed parents and talked about the most suitable age for children to start learning a foreign language and our teacher Mr. Mike Pozantzis talked about the variety of activities done in class in conjunction with the theory of Multiple Intelligences and the institution of presentations-speeches of students of all levels and especially Proficiency. Then, Mr. Pozantzis gave parents an Intelligence Test which could be done by parents in order to understand which type of Multiple Intelligences their children belong to.

This was followed by the presentation of the teaching methods applied at all levels with the help of the interactive whiteboards used at the European Centre of Language Studies- Miranta Merkouri by the English teachers, Mrs. Evi Angelopoulou, Ms. Sophia Zafiropoulou, Mrs. Mary Tzouvelakou and Ms. Demi Roussou and the German teacher Ms. Christine Harda and Mr. Mike Pozantzis discussed with parents on teaching Proficiency Level.

Also Mr. Pozantzis showed parents a very interesting video of the internationally acknowledged English author, educational advisor and professor at Warwick University Sir Ken Robinson, entitled: Schools kill creativity.

The meeting ended with a buffet for the parents and the staff of the European Centre of Language Studies.
