Seminars - Staff Training 2015

Under the auspices of the Hellenic American Union Center for the Examinations and Certification in Athens, Ms Miranta Merkouri arranged this year again Webinars at the premises of her school on Friday, 20 March 2015 and Tuesday, 24 March 2015.

The Webinars were geared toward mock speaking tests for students sitting ECPE and ECCE examinations in May 2015.

The Webinars were delivered by the Teacher Trainers and Examiners with the Hellenic American Union Mr Paul Bouniol and Mr John Petropoulos, who conducted a Mock Speaking Test with students of the 1st class of Proficiency and with students of the 1st and 3rd class of Lower respectively, assessing their performance of each stage of the exam after the completion of the test.

The Webinars were again a unique experience for the teachers and the students, and the knowledge and approach of both examiners invaluable.

The business associate and teacher trainer with the Burlington Book Publishers Ms Sophia Goudi was invited by Mrs Merkouri to her school in Pirgos on September 16, 2014 to present the new educational materials and software for interactive whiteboards in the English Language.

After the presentation, there was an in-service seminar on the critical importance and the teaching methodology for the acquisition of lexis, as the key to the success in the Level B2 Exams of the English Language.

The teachers at the Center of Language Studies of Ms Merkouri had the opportunity to discuss with her issues related to Lesson Planning and educational software.
