The European Center for Language Studies of Mrs. Merkouri, operated for the first time as an examination center for the ASEP-accredited English language examinations of Trinity College London during May 2007.
The students of D’ Regular Class (3rd unit) that participated in the examinations celebrated their success together with their teacher Mr. Michalis Pozantzis, the former Director of TESOL GREECE, the reputable author and teacher trainer Mr. Malcolm Mann, and the representative of the Macmillan publishing company, Mr. Dimitris Kaiafas, at Mrs. Merkouri’s home in Korakohori.
Mr.Mann, who is the author of the LASER book that students were taught from in D’ Regular English Class and which contributed immensely to their success, handed out autographs to the students at the end of the evening, who had the unique opportunity to meet him and converse with him.
The European Center for Language Studies – Miranta Merkouri is an achievement inspired by Miranta Merkouri, who after lengthy studies and a professional career, domestically and abroad, returns dynamically in 1991 to the place of her descent, Pirgos of the Ilia prefecture, to fulfill her goals: to offer her knowledge and extensive experience in the field of foreign language education.
